Copperfox Wiltshire Tour Stop

Hello Wiltshire!

Hello Wiltshire!

We had a wonderful time at the Copperfox Wiltshire Tour Stop this weekend. It was amazing! We hope you had as much fun as we did. It was so good to meet everyone and show you our herd of models and also hear your comments, feedback and model ideas. We hope everyone's new horses are settling in okay (and that they are behaving!)

The complete herd of Copperfoxes were available at the tour stop in addition to other Copperfox Merchandise, goodies and model horse bits and bobs. We also had some very special Glossy models available as raffle prizes, which was a little surprise for our tour stop visitors. (Also, for information, more Glossy models will be available as raffle prizes at future tour stops, although they might be different models to those at Wiltshire)

The day started early, with the sun shining and the hall setup ready for our visitors. We had over 100 guests booked in to attend the event throughout the day and being the first official tour stop, you can imagine we were a little nervous! Luckily, the doors opened, people arrived and we were off and running!!

An early morning start!

The feature of the morning was a little live show. A live show is a model horse convention in which model horse hobbyists gather to show their models. The models are judged in various classes, most of which are similar to classes at real horse shows and models can win rosettes and awards for their owners just like a real horse can.

Our Live show featured 22 classes that were then broken down into 4 performance classes (horse and tack), 14 in hand classes (horse only) and 4 mixed classes (fun classes). There were many different levels of abilities taking part in our mini live show from the total newcomers to more seasoned entrants, with everyone entering their models into the same classes. One of the best things about live showing is that everyone is happy to help each other, offering advice and guidance to those that are newer to this unique part of the model horse hobby than others- so if you are thinking about coming to a live show at one of our tour stops, you will be in good company.

BIG Congratulations again to the Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion of our live show.

In the afternoon we switched onto painting model horses, which were kindly donated by the BECF (British Equine Collectors Forum). Painting model horse is something everyone can have a go at, whatever their age or ability. Everyone was extremely creative with so many wonderful models being painted in a rainbow of colours, from traditional horsey colours to decorator models, with everyone taking home their newly painted ponies.

The tour stop went really well. Not only did we have a fun day of showing and painting models, it was great to talk to everyone about Copperfox and to show the models in person, especially after months of posting and sharing pictures online. It was good to see and speak to real people!! After we had packed up, tidied the hall and set off home, back to CF HQ, we saw something that summed up the day in total. A rainbow!! :)
