Over the weekend the Copperfox Team trotted up to the green and lush valleys and beautiful moors of the Yorkshire Dales to host our first tour event of 2017. We headed back to one of our favourite venues, a village hall just outside the historic spa town of Harrogate, that has the best views and peaceful location. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the newly born lambs were bleating- and the model horses were frolicking!
As it was our first tour stop of 2017, we took a selection of models for everyone to see. It's always hard packing for our first event of the year especially after so many things have happened, like selling out of certain models and our Copperfox Ambassadors program, so we loaded up a bit of everything! Like the scouts motto, ours is also to always be prepared! Our A team models came along for the journey- Superman, Marble, Trifle and Percival (matte), in addition to our B Team, who were extremely excited to be able to come out and see people (they have been stuck in storage for a while and so were itching to stretch their legs!).
Here are some pictures of our amazing Copperfox Seconds. As you can see, we have a wide selection and array of Copperfox Seconds, including some old faces that have long sold out!
We also took along our Copperfox Bodies, who are models need a new lease of life. Many were used as test models, to discover how to strip paint from the models, hence why some of weird and wonderful finishes!!
Our first tour stop of the year also sees the unveiling of the prize models for our mini live shows, which feature at each tour event. The Performance prize model for this year is a Glossy Finnigan and the In-Hand prize model is a Glossy Celtic Warrior. Both models are limited to just 16 pieces of each, one pair for each tour stop. These models look gorgeous in gloss! Their colour really comes out in the shine!
Our mini live show features 25 classes, with a mixture of Performance, In-Hand and fun classes. The Performance classes are held first, with so many wonderful entries being entered. The standard and creativity of entries is simply staggering, with many people making everything in their entry from the tack to the accessories, jump to the riders clothing. There is so many hours that go into performance setups and getting that entry *just right*. It's a labour of love for sure!
In our mini live show, any makes of models can enter which means we see an array of models of all shapes, sizes, makes and finishes. There is nearly always a model that catches my eye and I would like to take home!! Here are some images of the In-Hand champions during the judging of the overall In-Hand Championship, which as you can imagine, it always a tough one to judge!
The overall In-Hand Champion was a Copperfox Finnigan owned by Kayleigh, with the Reserve In-Hand Champion a customised Copperfox Exmoor pony called "Cupid" showed and painted by @demedicia Congratulations to both ponies and their owners!
One our favourite sections of the mini live show is the fun classes where everyone's imaginations can run wild and it becomes the perfect excuse to crack out the glue, glitter and feathers!! Here are some pictures of some Costume and Fancy Dress entries. Check out Superman as Superman, and the mini Copperfox Live show, complete with teeny tiny models!
One Lucky Winner also took home an extra model! Glossy Copperfox Bertie, one of only ten models, cantered home with Beccy who was very surprised to win this handsome horse!
All in all, a fabulous day, full of fun, model horses and sunshine!
