It's been far too long since my last update. The days of April have whizzed past at a phenomenal speed, with too many chocolate Easter eggs being consumed and fun being had in the few days of sunshine we experienced here in the UK (it was 28 degrees C... in April...!).
So what have we been up to? We've been busy behind the scenes putting the final touches to exciting developments in the pipeline including resins, mini models and of course, new colours! We have lots to look forward to in the next few months, and that's in addition to the highlights below:
Test Models to be Auctioned:
Back in March when we were preparing for our Copperfox Online Marketnight, we found all sorts of treasure hidden away in boxes including test and development models. Whilst they are part of our journey, we can't display them or enjoy them, and it seemed a bit sad that they live in the dark all the time.
We asked the members of the Copperfox Model Horse Fans Group what we should do with them, with the feedback concluding that they should be offered for sale, not only for someone else to have the pleasure of them but to also assist in the next CF production run, which is in the pipeline at the moment.
A selection of these models will be heading to auction this week and I will post images of each lot before the listings go live. As to a sample of what models will be featured, a few pictures are below.
- Humphrey the chestnut Irish Sports horse, a test model for a high-volume-style model.
- Edmund the dapple grey Irish Sports Horse, a development model for our Toby model.
- Barney the brown Irish Sports Horse, a development model for Cadbury.
- Sidney the dapple iron grey Welsh Cob, who was a development model for Gibson.
Keep an eye on here and our social media channels for more details, and most importantly pictures!!
Mini Copperfoxes are in the works at the moment and we got very excited when we saw this image of the mini Copperfox Irish Sports Horse created by Seunta LLC. The mini Copperfoxes will be available through both Copperfox direct (for UK sales) and Seunta LLC (for rest of world) and I hope to be able to release information and pricing within the next 10 days.
We have a few Copperfox Bodies available in a variety of colours and finishes. Bodies are models that have been downgraded from a Copperfox Second and in our opinion deemed only suitable for customising. Copperfox Bodies are the perfect canvas to create your personalised Copperfox Model Horse! Trot on over to this section of the website to see the models, which start from £22.50.

Winston and Scamp
With the warmer weather, we've been able to cast copies of Scamp and the first few copies of Winston (hooray!). As soon as we get our mitts on these models, we'll be able to take pictures of them both together so you can see how little and large they are, and by this point we'll have full details of how you can order one- or both! :-)
I can't round up April without mentioning a little about our upcoming production run (shhhh, it's secret!!) The next run sees the welcomed return of both our Exmoor and Connemara moulds, in new colours, in addition to our popular Welsh Cob and Irish Sports Horses moulds. Winston will also join the herd for his premiere, so it's a very big line-up this time.
Colour wise, it will be a rainbow of horsey colours. We've got ebony shades, complex chestnuts, a sprinkling of sunshine and even some coloured patterns. If all goes well, there might even be some spots too!
