Tickets have been steadily trotting out of our online shop for both morning and afternoon events, and it's great to read and hear of so many people coming to each stop! It's been a few years since we have undertaken a tour like this so we are very excited about going back on the road and meeting everyone.
The live shows at our Yorkshire and Wiltshire live shows have now sold out. Sadly we are unable to add any extra tickets to either of these events due to venue capacity, but we are running a waiting list for both just in case a space (or spaces) become available due to a cancellation. If you would like us to add you to either of these lists, please let us know (just drop us an email or use our contact form).
On the positive side, we still have live show tickets still available for the following tour stops, if you would like to join in the fun of showing your models. A class list that applies to all tour stops can be found here, to give you an idea of what classes there are and what to expect. Below is a list of the tour stops that have tickets remaining and the number that are available:
- Shropshire (28th March)- 6 spaces available
- Devon (17th April)- 13 spaces available
- Scotland (2nd May)- 4 spaces available
- Kent (15th May)- 20 spaces available
- Essex (21st May)- 18 spaces available
- Cumbria (30th May)- 22 spaces available
- Northamptonshire (11th June)- 13 spaces available
Afternoon tickets are available at nearly all the tour stops, except Yorkshire. The numbers were getting so big that we took the decision to stop ticket sales, taking into account venue size and capacity as well as just the simple logistics of running the event! All other events have a good amount of tickets available for the afternoon and we will be sure to give you a heads up if any get to the same situation as Yorkshire.
In other tour news, we have released more pictures of Bertie, the Copperfox Tour Horse (shown below). Like all Copperfox models, there are 250 models produced in total, with the run being equally split (near enough) over the 9 tour stops. Live show entrants will get first option on this model, with any unsold models being available to those attending in the afternoon. Bertie will be limited to one per person to make it fair (whereas the rest of the Copperfox herd will be limited to as many as you can carry!). Is Bertie on your wishlist?
Pictures below are original paint master painted by the super talented Deb Brown.
Now, for some behind the scenes details about Bertie!! The picture (below) is of the first painting test at our factory. This is where the painters get a feel for the design, colours and processes required to paint the models. I guess you could say it's a first draft. It's not the best picture in the world as it isn't taken in the best light and therefore the brown looks really dark! Anyway, the horse on the right of the picture is the original sample (so the one pictured above) and the one from which the design is taken. The horse on the left of the picture is the first painting test, so the first draft, on a plastic model. I hope you agree, it's a good start for a first attempt. With a few tweaks, here and there we'll be spot on with the original!
