London Calling: The Copperfox London Group Event!

Our social media channels have been a whirlwind with posts over the last few weeks, with posts about feature weeks, blank canvas customs and tour stops, there has been so many things to look and talk about that it's easy for some things to get a little lost on these platforms. This is why I wanted to do a little post about our upcoming event in November, which is a bit different than our other events, mainly for the reason that it doesn't have a live show- but it does have horses (and model horses!!)

On the 19th November 2016 we are hoping to take a group of 50 people on a horse themed tour of London, visiting not one but two horse themed museums, partaking in the national pastime that is afternoon tea (with Prosecco!) and also have time for a little sightseeing too. It's a horse filled day! Sound your cup of tea, then please read on!

Our Copperfox London Event starts with everyone meeting at the Royal Mews at 12noon. The Royal Mews is one of the finest working stables in existence, where the famous Windsor Greys and Royal carriages are stabled. Here will be taken on a guided tour of the Mews viewing the Glass Coach, used by Royal brides, the luxurious Australian State Coach (with central heating included!) and the most dazzling of all, the Gold State Coach, which has been used at every coronation since 1821. We may be lucky enough to see the Windsor Greys, as well as the Cleveland Bays which are used to escort newly appointed High Commissioners and Ambassadors to their audience with The Queen, when they present their formal credentials from their country’s Head of State.

Once we have spent a couple of hours at the Royal Mews, our vintage Double Decker bus will whisk us on a whistlestop tour of London with our professional guide seeing many of the cities famous landmarks including St Paul's Cathedral, London Bridge and the Bank of England. We stop off at Westminster Abbey for a spot of afternoon tea (the best British tradition ever!) in Cellarium Cafe, where we will enjoy a selection of homemade sweet and savoury scones, handmade cakes and savouries accompanied by the compulsory pot of tea and a glass of Prosecco (or a non alcoholic beverage). We then embark back upon our bus to take us to our final destination on our horse themed tour, the Household Cavalry Museum.

At the Household Calvary Museum, which is ours exclusively for a couple of hours (meaning we have it all to ourselves!), we will have a private guided tour of it's exhibits, displays and artifacts, as well as taking advantage of the the chance to try on uniforms, helmets and handle tack of a Household Calvary Horse. It's the perfect opportunity to see everything up close, especially if you are researching and wanting to creating anything Calvary related in miniature! We will also gain a unique behind-the-scenes look at the working stables through a large glazed partition in the museum, seeing the horses in their stables and troopers going about their duties in the original 18th century stables.

We hope that you will join us for this unique event that sees model horse collectors of all ages coming together to experience a horse themed adventure in London together. Want to come? Please remember that there are only 50 places available for this event, so please do reserve your space sooner than later to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be purchased here.
